The new Extell tower is nice; moreover, anything would have been better than this.

Thanks for posting these great photos.

I always hated this piece of garbage. Extell's new tower will be a beautiful addition to 86th Street and to WEA.

A rounded corner is always nice to see.

Very, very beautiful. 531 WEA, that is.

Well, at least relative to all the other crap going up city-wide.

The brick work is marvelous, and the proportions on the windows make what's completed on the facade (I'd say, 30-35%) look exactly like the midsection of any other twenty-story beauty on the Avenue, minus a few decorative elements. Can't wait for this one.

Sorry, didn't have my camera when I walked by earlier today, but I suggest everyone go take a look.

    I think I'm in love!

Maybe we are returning to standards of aesthetics that made this city great!

Not quite, when there's garbage like 111 Lawrence rising past One Hanson Place to become Brooklyn's tallest.

I think aesthetics improved in Manhattan in large pasrt due to the phenomenal success and exposure of 15 CPW.

Yes, Tectonic, Brooklyn has some catching up to do (but we do have Toren).

I wonder what the cornice will look like on this one. I won't keep my fingers crossed.

    From last week...

The couple in this picture seemed to know a lot about the building for some reason...

    absolutely beautiful.

The prices are wild but I'm not letting that get in the way.

Anyone know why they didn't dig for a garage? A desired amenity for such a price range.

Absolutely, tremendously gorgeous. This is almost indistinguishable from all the buildings around it. Maybe a few terracotta ornaments, and we're all set!

    Beautiful.
