    Special angle, especially for Lofter.

They were at work on the curtain wall overnight. I had noticed a flatbed with two panels on the Church st. side during the day, so went I went out for a late night walk I strolled by. They had it lit up and were busy installing new panels. Several more truckloads of panels had arrived since my earlier passing.

Lot's of floors ready for facade panels. Seems like they are behind on that aspect and in turn so too is window install and getting the dry work started on the lower floors.

Silverstein's 30 Park Place About Halfway To Superlative Height

    by Zoe Rosenberg

    [All images via NY YIMBY.]

The 67-story tower to-be at 30 Park Place is now roughly halfway to its superlative height of 926 feet. The Silverstein-developed tower which will contain a Four Seasons hotel and 157 condos is sheathed up to the 20th floor in a concrete imitation of limestone that, along with ground level details, YIMBY says "effectively [interprets] pre-war ornamentation in a contemporary fashion." Lover of limestone Robert A.M. Stern is, of course, the architect.

It looks great in person though. Anyway, there are a lot of new buildings in NY that I thought were stone but are apparently concrete, such as the Langham Place Hotel/condo on 5th.

In that Yimby page it said a tipster said that the residential sections would get real stone. That doesn't make much sense to me. Over twenty floors up from the street it won't make a difference.

Plus those materials would age differently, showing a line of demarcation.

I think that real stone will be only at street level.

I think they should stick with the same material throughout. The mismatch in color will look terrible.
