    Default Jersey City Meet-Up

Any takers for a Jersey City meet-up next wknd? I know there's a lot of enthusiastic JC people who already do a tremendous job of representing the city, but it'd still be cool to have a get together - Lemme know...

Sounds like an interesting idea. Not sure I could do it since I'm so much younger than everyone (if I asked my mom she'd say no, so I'd have to just "go out with friends") which woudln't be the first time, but eh. I also might have to go into Harrison either on the 13th or the 20th, so I'll have to see when that gets scheduled for.

    hoboken gets love too...

only problem is that it looks like it's going to rain all wknd, so that might screw things up -- how bout we play it by ear and see how things look at the end of the week?

and, even if we get rained out this weekend, any suggestions on a good starting place?

Beechwood cafe on the corner of Grove and Wayne St. across from city hall.

    Good conversation place.

Well it looks like it's definitely going to rain tomorrow - Anyone still want to meet up tomorrow at the Beechwood Cafe? If no takers, we'll do another time..

You guys could not pick a spot that was maybe closer to the PATH stop?

Up to you, I might be able to attend if it is not that hard to get to from Uptown Hoboken.... (I do not want to have to drive, ya know?)

A Jersey meetup at the WFC!

Considering the locations/directions you're all coming from, and how many different modes of transportation you'll be using, you might find that the best meeting place is not in your state at all, but by the WFC.

The difference between a Jersey meetup at the WFC and a NYC meetup? The Jersey people dictate all the terms.

Hypothetical example: if you decide to initially meet near where you can admire your skyline -- at P.J. Clarke's by the Hudson (Vesey), at 2pm on Saturday, January 13 -- far be it for the New Yorkers to try to change any of your terms of meeting...

Good chance, though, that whatever you choose in Manhattan, there would be some New Yorkers, maybe many, from this site. It could end up being pretty lively.

    Why?

    1. Its cheaper.
    2. Its closer.
    3. It's NJ...
