Since it's only 10 stories, Fall 2007 is not unreasonable...certainly by the end of the year it should be completed.

This brooding hulk is up to floor 7 -- just 3 more to go ...

Not the most welcoming form as you approach the landmarked stretch of Sixth Avenue from the south

If that south-facing lot-line wall (first pic below) is windowless then I will be one very unhappy camper

If anyone has connections to either the Architect or Owner of 100 W. 18th please CALL THEM ...

Tell them to switch out the black facade before its too late ...

Even bare concrete is less offensive than the gloomy black which is planned to cover this thing (a facade treatment that has no realtionship to anything in the immediate area and which literally creates a black hole at the south end of this great stretch of Landmarked buildings) ...

Interesting, but doesn't fit this section of 6th Avenue, 100 West 18th Street:

I think that this building is lame, but it beats having the filthy parking garage that was there. Brauser is the "developer," and Garrett Gourlay is the "architect." This undynamic duo have a project on Washington St. at the old WTC site, and they hope to raze three beautiful, old buildings next to a parking garage that they own. There was talk of landmarking the old buildings, and I hope these schmucks are stopped.

    This pile at 100 W. 18th has it's own thread ...

It's a gloomy hulk showing little imagination. Its main selling point are the great views it has of the landmarked buildings across the streets to the north & east. Remember that two great old brick buildings wre torn down to make way for it.

    Anyone know how it's selling?

Sorry bout that I ran a search and this thread came up most, didn't see the dedicated one. Maybe one of the moderators can move the pictures and responses over.

    No problem ^^^

There are lots of random posts in this thread for that building. Most are referenced over there and have links to the posts here.

I moved your posts here. If you want your dialogue about moving the posts deleted just say the word. Some of the other posts about this project that lofter was talking about are spread randomly back in the Manhattan Residential Development thread.
