Thread: Koolhaas in Jersey City

    Default Koolhaas in Jersey City

It's probably mentioned in the JC thread, but it's buried in there, so now that there are renderings and it looks like it might just get built, I'd like to start a new thread on this stand-out project.

Here are some pictures from a JC forum(

It's mixed-use... and for you skyscraper geeks: 52 stories and 1.2 million SF. Not too shabby.

What makes it "look like it might get built"?

I'm neither an architect nor an engineer, but it doesn't look safe. Looks interesting, I'll give you that.

Koolhas said it will have a concrete inner core and that the buildings will be cantilevered.

For once a building with such a avantgarde design I'm not sure I like it. Would probably be a real attention-grabber for JC tho, which might be good.
I would of course love to see it for SimCity :P

They could put a big LED screen on the side facing Manhattan ...
