Default Walking in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn

Ok so yesterday was such a beautiful clear day. So I decided to visit Brooklyn and take a bunch of photos of one of the most beautiful and expensive neighborhoods in NYC. This is ofcourse Brooklyn Heights. A nighborhood that seems to be stuck in time. New construction is ofcourse rarely allowed and it has to comply with those complicated zonings. Anyway I am glad, because like the West Village, this is one of NYC most charming low scale neighborhoods. Ok I hope you enjoy my photo tour.

    Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn

Brooklyn Heights is a neighborhood within the New York City borough of Brooklyn; originally designated through popular reference as 'Brooklyn Village', it has, since 1834, become a prevalent area of the Brooklyn borough. As of 2000, the Brooklyn Heights sustained a population of 22,493 people. The neighborhood is part of Brooklyn Community Board 2.

Brooklyn Heights stretches from Fulton Street near the Brooklyn Bridge south to Atlantic Avenue and from the East River east to Court Street and Cadman Plaza. Adjacent neighborhoods are : DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn, Cobble Hill and Boerum Hill. It is the part of Brooklyn closest to Lower Manhattan, directly across the East River, and easily accessible via the Downtown and multiple subway lines.

I thought the next one was interesting. A real estate sign advertising "flats."

Finally this was an interesting flag pole. I really like the little turtles.
