Yes, I think I am thinking the same, I just did not want top admit it.

Well, 3 kids have a way of making it difficult to come back. That and a job where you have to watch every orifice....

    On that note!

Good to see you too Merry!

It's sad, but it is time for this forum to be discontinued. It no longer serves a useful purpose.

It's purpose is to survive and long may it do so.

I beg to differ, EastMillinocket. There's a wealth of information about NYC on this forum, not least in the many unique posts made by former regulars (and a few not-so-regular) who live(d) in NYC, along with discussions that were wise, intelligent, articulate and interesting. We've sadly lost quite a few WNY-member photo contributions that are no longer hosted wherever they were uploaded, but there's still heaps of wonderful stuff, despite new input being very thin on the ground now. As an archive, it most definitely still serves a useful purpose imo. And I would hate to see the record of amazing camaraderie I and others experienced during the TLOZ Link5 project disappear. But, hey, I'm a nostalgia nut...and not everyone who has an interest in NYC only seeks the latest skyscraper proposals/construction news . Of course, in the end, it's entirely up to Edward to decide what happens. I still really miss the good ol' days at WNY.

So is there a new place everyone congregated onto to track NYC developments with actual critical insight?

city-data.com\forums had some stuff (NOT www!!!). I have not been there in years though.

The Gothamist is meager, but fun. Only comment posting though (no board to speak of).

Most of the boards I posted out are on life support now.
