    I mean, it's getting something panelized put on top of the brick facade, similar to other buildings. I can't imagine it going all glass. Of course bisweb isn't loading for me when I try to check the permits.

    The glass is almost as transparent as the acrylic Jean Nouvel used on the Carousel building over in Brooklyn. I wonder how that will translate once people are living here (assuming anyone buying these apts lives in them).

    I think every work of 'high design' architecture should be flanked by a couple boring generic buildings: the serve as the perfect foil for a sunning stand-out piece of 'high design' architecture such as is 50 West Street. That building will be a good enough looking neighbor once the re clad is complete.
