Compare the speed of construction on this building compared to 56 Leonard just a bit further to the north. The uniformity of the upper floors (among other various unknown factors) for one thing must really help with the rapid vertical progress of 50 West Street.
This building has a sleek, smooth and curvy form that is visually exciting; yet, there there is something I find to be a bit steril about the overall building. Well, no body - and no building - is perfect.
Beautiful!
Are the garages on Greenwich near the Battery Tunnel entrance owned by the City or are they private? those eyesores must go. It would be nice if the tunnel entrance were capped and covered with a park.
Great views along West Street in #651, Tectonic. 50 is looking awesome.
A few more..
