We still don't know who the architect is or what this will look like. Is that correct?
Well, It's SLCE, and it's now 30 stories/323 ft. (Rather large for the spot it is. This will actually be quite noticeable.). Unfortunately, there do not appear to be renders at all. Even stranger still is that the documents for this haven't been scanned and haven't hit BISWEB.
Thanks, Roldan. Under what address are docs filed with the DOB for this site? 21 Ann St.?
109 Nassau. For what it's worth, my money is on a clear copy of 57 reade. I could be wrong, but slce is a one trick pony these days.
THanks. I'd take 57 Reade over a Kaufman/Poon special.
New Building and other related applications for 21 Ann / 109-11 Nassau / 4 Theater Alley (Lot 18) have been filed under 113 Nassau aka 6 Theater Alley (Lot 17) and those two lots continue to be listed separately, although this development clearly seems to cover both lots. Because the NB application was pre-filed in 2007 it seems this plan beat the requirement for scanned docs (even though it wasn't approved or permitted until 2011).
Mmm, yes. Also, it looks like there are no filings for 115 Nassau next door, but that's the site for the tall and glassy Kaufman Hotel. The site appears to sort of kind of still be for sale, but it's hard to tell. The signage has been edited a number of times in the past few months. What that means for this building is a really large blank wall facing a sliver of a site next door.
No pics, but it looks like this site's nearly completely excavated. They've driven a ton of footings too. Once the pad is poured in the next month or so, this will shoot up.
I had high hopes for this area, with the renovation of the beekman building and of course the gehry tower i thought it could trigger more quality buildings... but of course it gets ruined by the likes of mcsam and kaufman, two completely useless people.
There's not even renderings for this building yet. That seems a little premature. 33 Beekman and the other ann lot (maybe 45?) will probably be dull at best, but I'm not sure what to expect here. I'd be happy with something like the green glass L shaped building by city hall.
Roldan you posted a picture of a building on Ann St on the "NYC Hotel News" page, isint this the site for it?
Nope. That's up the street from here. It's also nearly excavated, though. There are, as of yet, no public renderings of this building.
Hey look, a map! http://g.co/maps/vujgv
