I hoped that this dumpy structure would be razed. Hopefully, the facade will be stripped and redone nicely.

Shame, Madison Square is so classy...

This area is classy but I guess McDonalds was very smart to get their foot in this door. Maybe they will at least do something like the one on 8th and 34th.

I've said this before, by and large, 23rd St. is just not very good for retail.

This project has been down-sizedn to say the least; I think this smaller building is growing to container only two 'floor through' duplex apartments. The exterior architecture probably will not be too spectacular; but those interior apartments will surly be something special.

I wonder if real estate brokers try to use websites like 'curbed' and 'WiredNY' to create "buzz" to help promote these high end property listings: if so, I just want to put it out there that I can be 'bribed'. HeHe

This is sad. The demolished building was nice.

What I am still not clearly understanding is if the two buildings - the tower on 23rd street & the smaller 6 story building on 22nd street - are 'physically connected; do they share a common entrance, or lobby where either building can be entered on both 23rd street & 22nd street.

I have been inside the tower on 23rd street doing some interior work; but I did not see any sign of a 'block-through' lobby, Everything on the interior was still under construction: so a 'common lobby' would not have been recognizable at the time.

This has been a bizarre (and slow going) project on a number of fronts: good to see they are coming to completion.

Here is an outdated piece of news - regarding how plans have changed at One Madison Park.

I like that. What was the point of this second entrance? Poor door or ultra rich door?
