Ahh, yes. I was fed up with Berklee, not drumming. On the contrary, I'm experiencing a period of strong growth as far as practicing and getting into new territory is concerned.

And above it all, I don't think I could ever get sick of drumming. I have too much knowledge of music in general for me to ever be able to turn my back on it, let alone music altogether (which, really, are inseparable to me). And then there's the issue of the music that's playing in my head all the time... I have yet to find an off switch to it

I'm listening to (well it's stuck in my head) OMC "How Bizarre". It's better than listening to people type...

Nothing. Windows open, peace and quiet, a few birds singing...

But not for long. In five minutes, the neighbors are going to break out with heavy construction on their mcmansion. (Yep, the town gave them a noise variance for 8am on Sunday mornings.) The other neighbor will be starting up his leaf blower to clear a few random leaves on his huge lawn. His kids will take the cue and break out screaming on their outdoor jungle gym. That's when I break out with the long version of the Allman Brother's Whipping Post.

It sure will be nice moving out of the 'burbs.

I'm listening to the quintessential Russian Girl from the Bronx, Regina Spektor of course. And you should be too.

Her songs make me cry, in a good way.

Her voice doesn't carry over the power tools and screaming...

And thank God for that :P

How about closing the windows and turning it up?

I did that before I listened to her for the first time...

But from what I can fathom, she's delightful. She's spookily reminiscent of a young Leslie Caron.
