At this moment I am listening to New Shoes by Paulo Nutini, I am listening to the radio though, so this song was not my choice. It could be worse I suppose, not much, but it could...

Apparently that ^ was recorded circa 1967 at Steve Paul's The Scene, aka 301 West 46th Street -- a nice of stack of bricks and terra cotta, recently acquired by Glenwood and no doubt (and sadly) soon to get demo'd.

Everything in NYC is connected one way or another.

Well If you like the Stills Hendrix combo, you'll love this. Stills plays organ and guitar, Jimi plays the lead breaks and solos. Real good stuff

One more, this one from Stills and Clapton. Steven plays first lead (peddle) throughout, and Eric comes on at the end with a lead solo to close the song. This one in particular is one of my favorites.

Election Day, by Arcadia. 1985. The extended version can be heard on YouTube. Brilliant.

I've heard every Beatle song so many times over the years that it sounds like Muzak to me.

Until now, I had never heard the 2006 Beatles mash-up album produced by George Martin "Love". I just wasn't interested.

But it's wonderful... definitely not for purists, but to me it all sounds fresh and new again.
