It's classic glenwood with the bay windows, so it is most likely it.
That does have some Kondylis-like traits to it, which is to say it is quite unexceptional and plain.
By the way, I thought there would be two separate towers, one on 37th and one on 38th?
I know the developer got the greenlight for a parking garage but will the ground floor also have retail as well?
It's classic glenwood with the bay windows, so it is most likely it.
I think Stephen Jacobs was inspired on this one by Kondylis' 10 Barclay St.
On 37th st. it doesn't look like they will make the end of April deadline for finishing
off the foundation?! And just why would they have put those steel beams in there at
such weird angles?
And they have now
completely blocked off 37th to ALL traffic!
38th st side has finally started to rise above street level.
They have blocked all of that street off except one lane,
for their concrete pumping trucks!![]()
Those steel beams are to hold up the wall, otherwise the street above could cave in.
Today they pulled down the crane on 38th at 10th and,
at the same time they put up a crane at 327-345 38th!
parked on the street
prep work
setting up the ramps
all lined up!
easy does it...notice the ramp wood lifting up on the left near
the other truck?!
finally....on the platform!

who cares if you need to sleep....we gots work to do!
make way for #2
now how about some oil tanks?!
watch that lamp post!
first of two...

lol well at least they seem quick with things...
you have an interesting vantage point![]()
I'll say...from today- wait till I go out front for a new pic.lol well at least they seem quick with things...
They are already up to the 3rd floor!
There also seems to be some new controversy about that 400 space parking garage Glenwood wants to get a variance for.
It seems our beloved Hells Kitchen is OVERRUN by parking garages and, permits for over 2000
additional parking spaces have been applied for by developers since our neighborhoods zoneing laws have been changed
They still have to go before (I can't remember which one), some city board to get approval- but that hasn't stopped them
from going ahead with their constructing it anyway!
Still haven't gotten approval for or, the variance needed to
build a 400 car parking garage - but that hasn't stopped
them from building it anyway!
Here the access ramp to the bottom floor is being poured.![]()

watch out!! The first segment of one of those cranes was
set into place today- just yards from my terrace
![]()
and so it begins.....
the first truckload of tower segments arrives
and they start piling up- some of them look like they could use some rust maintenance?!
