Woke up to loud banging, and heavy revving of engines this morning.
Looked out a back window and this is what I saw at 346 w 37th...

One of the guys was singing God Bless America at
the top of his lungs the whole time he was working
Now there are two tower cranes behind my home, and they are covering up all the surrounding
buildings with plywood to protect them from the falling debris.

    The view I once had

    Has been replaced by this

And they still have 15 more floors to build!
At least I still have my windows
37th steet is a place a a person in a car will definitely want to avoid
    for the next two years!
(and the NIMBY"S over next to MOMA complain about blocked access due to construction of 1 building)

I noticed this week that the Flag is flying atop the 38th Steet side.

Topped out over there it seems.

    Backside

Back corner (part of my new view- no more Empire state, One Penn,
    or New Yorker Hotel )

Please tell me they are just storing crane parts back here,
and not getting ready to put up a new crane?!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that there will be something behind those windows worth looking at

Apparently Leonard Litwin of Glenwood had deeply invested with the shyster-Ponzian Bernie Madoff.

They are actually using Real Brick for the sides and back of these buildings,
I wonder why the prefab on the front)?!

In the back they have also been installing the window tracks and glass!

Gots a long way to go!

They cleaned up the work yard and built retaining wall out back...
I hope they plant it- do something nice back there- please don't leave it the way it is!

I wouldn't want to be the one laying brick on that scaffolding!

They started taking down the construction elevators in the back...

Still laying real bricks on the back and sides (precast on the front)-why?!

This is a conundrum, I know why they are leaving it for last!

most of the glass is in.

I'd really like to know how they are going to finish off the
    back?

I'd vote for a full playground for all the kids. Just think, you'd be able to enjoy their squeals and screams without leaving home!

Lucky for me- you don't get a vote
