    Welcome aboard!

I basically found this site, because like the proverbial salmon, I'm hankering to come home. I was born in the Bronx. Ever since we moved from New York, the wanderlust has never left me.

Currently, rusticating in Hurricane Ivan disaster country, Pensacola, Florida. It's been quite a whirlwind, so to speak. I've lived in SF as well, and always thought I'd choose a hurricane over an earthquake any day of the week. Now, I'm not so sure.

    Peace!

I feel you on this hurricane crap! I am originally from central P.A. moved to Tampa a little over a year ago. Charlie missed me, Frances hit me, Jeanne i don't remember, but Ivan was my favorite. I went to New York for the weekend and ended up being stuck there for two extra days because no flights were going into TIA.

I think it is safe to say that I was lucky to have no damage from any of the hurricanes. Actually, I never even lost power. You guys up there got hit bad. I feel for you.
