    Ah yes, the classic, "If we just keep our neighborhood crappy enough no one will want to live here, and it'll stay cheap" argument. How's that working out for any other number of neighborhoods in any other number of cities experiencing development pressure.

    We have seen this 'community opposition' real estate drama played out a thousand times on these very forums: I will never fathom exactly what the 'arguments' or objections are actually about - so will remain a dispassionate observer. That being said: it usually all works out just fine in the end.....
