    Default Maggie's Garden

Pendant mon dernier voyage à New York (Mi Octobre) je suis passé par le Maggie's Garden, malheureusement il etait fermé. Alors j'ai pris cette photo à la grille avec Amedée

During my last trip to New York (in October) I passed by the Maggie's Garden, unfortunately, it was closed. So I took this picture in the grid with Amedée

    For newcomers to the forum:

Maggie's Garden is a site in upper Manhattan where a late forum member, TLOZ Link5 (J. B. Hehman), is remembered.

No doubt that JB whould have gotten a kick out of Amedee's visit (although it wasn't the first time Amedee visited Maggie's Garden).

There is something very comforting about seeing that photo of Amedee at the garden.

I agree with Merry. It is very heart-warming to see the remembrance.

WOW, that's beautiful! It looks so serene. It's nice to be back there.

Thanks for sharing the photos, Gulcrapek.

Sure is more lush than when we saw it back in the Spring of 2006. How has JB's tree fared? We planted it way in the back, and can't be seen in the photos.

Wasn't there a banner with JB's face and a quote from one of his posts on it?

The day of the planting back in May 2006 a banner was put up on the fence outside Maggie's garden.

A plaque with the same image & quote was installed inside the Garden.

It's been 5 years and I haven't gotten myself up there yet. Party because of severe allergies that go into full swing right around the time everything starts to bloom, and partly because I'm not sure I want to.
