Most are probably very early 60's; a few may even be late 50's. These are from a 1966 book I dug out of the attic. BTW, I do better job dating photos by cars than haircuts

thanks so much for posting these. i have that book by lehnartz as i collect old photography books that focus on nyc in the 50's and 60's. unfortunately, unlike punzie, i'm not too old to remember any of these. the city was definitely much dirtier...no comparison to what it's like today..but it also was a much better place to live. maybe it's just because i was a kid back then and that will always be true of any place you grew up.

mind if i post some other old pictures of the city back then on this thread? i can start a new one if you'd rather.
