The developer, a subsidiary of Russian company Stroïmontage Group, announced at Cannes that it was planning one 309-metre high tower and one 264 metre high tower at its Hermitage towers scheme at La Defense, Paris.

The Nouvel Phil. looks very unrefined, what is the concept?

    Better renderings

Even if the crowd in this rendering is quite multicultural, it is always weird to see how it is unrepresentative of the local population.

In the same area but in the oposite side of the canal Parc du millénaire office complex.

The first building were completed the last years.

The Docks near La Villette become a very interresting place, the industrial wasteland disappear, the subway line 12 will be extended at Aubervillier in 2012. A big swimming pool complex, some high-rises...
Even without the Olympic game this place will change in a good way (Not difficult to be better than old warehouses )
I need to say that Aubervillier is the 5th poorest municipality in Paris metropolitan area.

Well T1 and Granite will be soon completed.
As I heard T1 was already inaugured...

Due at the height average height of the building in this area of Paris the skyscrapers look smaller than in the other european cities.
That's weird but in skyline view a 50m building in London look taller than a 100m building in Paris

The winner of Signal contest is Jean Nouvel.
The tower is 301m 988ft tall with 70 floors.

Anyway even if only Nouvel win, other proposed tower of this contest could be build, especially the Hermitage twin towers of Ferrier.
News also related that Foster and Willmote proposal in this case.

Getting really bored of random form-deconstructivism now.
