I walked by this piece of mystery meat today when I was near Grand Central. It looked like they were working on the 2nd floor.

Taken yesterday. Glad it holds the streetwall.

I pray that this is decent. Flintlock is involved, and they're generally involved in utter sh.it. This prominent site deserves something nice.

P.S.: I can't wait for the day when that blue glass POS with the Zeller Tux shop comes down.

I hope it turns out alright. I'm a fan of the old buildings in Terminal City and around, but this is a dull, drab stretch of Lexington that can use more public features such as retail.

It looks like it's about 12 stories now. How high will it go???

It looks like there's a setback above the eighth floor on the downtown side.

According to the intertitle, this will be a 28-story building known as "Grand East."

Yes, and one at about the fourth floor as well. That should let them get a little more height, or, as you say, 28 stories.

Lots of setbacks all over the place. What is this thing anyway, a hotel?

The basic shape can be seen on the zoning documents filed on the DOB's website. Hopefully, the facade is ok.

I walked by on Fri., July 13th on my way to GCT and noticed that odd "caging" on the facade. If the facade will consist of scores of tiny windows, it will look ridiculous.

No, that's just the framing before exterior covering goes up. Think the pace dorm before the green insulation then brick go up. Looks to me like there just won't BEs so many windows.

Thanks, Roldan. The shape on this is kind of interesting. Hopefully, the facade will be decent.
