Good set of pics, alonzo ...

Love the 2nd one -- back when BPC was still but a beach

Any specific reason you chose to go with the British spelling of "CENTER" in the thread title?

I refuse to spell things americanily, unless its an official document, mainly because I am British, Im still pissed about that little revolution you guys had a few years back.

Great set of photographs Alonzo. Thank you for posting them.

My greatest New York regret is that I never got to visit and see the towers, or ride to the observation deck for those superb views.

Still. What happened to them inspired my respect and fondness for New York and New Yorkers.

^ Well, now that you've learned your lesson, just be sure to come back here to go up the Freedom Tower when it's completed in 2013 (or whenever it'll be push back to ).

There'll be an observation deck up there at just about the same height as the one in the South tower.

Well I will be 71 this year.

Do you think they can speed it up a bit so I don't run out of time?

Don't worry, you'll make it, with lots of time left over.

    Thumbs up

I like these pictures, Im maybe what could be called a World Trade Center Fan. Once I saw the Manhattan Skyline with the World Trade Center from a plane but I was 6 years old and it was 2000 and didnt take a picture (I wish I did). I enjoy the old one where Battery Park City looks like a beach.
