This is my first summer in Scotland after 3 in New York. It has been humid, warm with random thunderstorms just like NY. Ive never had one like it here, weird.

I just did exactly what Obama didn't want me to do - took my tax refund and went and spent it in China.

I found out today that buying replacement ink
for my HP printer, costs MORE than buying a new HP printer
(same model) with the ink included

So buy the printer, take out the ink and sell the printer.

Start looking around. Get generic ink. I have found that there are ones that are cheaper (by a third usually) than the "official" ink.

There are also stores that will refill your cartridges, but they are not "officially supported" by the mfr.....

I remember hearing about a guy who buys the printer for the ink, then donates the printer itself to charity and takes the write-off, thus defraying his cost.

    ^ good idea
Ninjahedge-I buy the real HP ink because it's archivic (thus the high cost).
Generic ink won't cut it for most of my intended use- but good to know!
