The greens of summer?
The Hudson River right now is a horrible shade of muddy brown. It looks disgusting.
I wonder if it has anything to do with that uptown waste water treatment plant that has been dumping huge quantities of grossness into the Hudson lately...
^ The helicopter crash in the East River was on the news here last night, and I thought the river looked equally brown and gross.
It's been this way since Hurricane Irene. Silt from all the rain and water runoff.
Picture from further upstate, where it's more pronounced.
(doesn't) Make you think all the world's a sunny day, oh yeah!
Speaking of, the next 6 days are going to be absolutely glorious. All you excellent photogs better get some more great pics.
I have to take a few shots before the weather turns ever cooler. Anyone notice the leaves are still green? Where are the nice fall colors?
The leaves are all getting dry and "rustle-y". I am worried about having to rake 'em all up.....
What a gorgeous day in the greatest city on Earth...exploring the magnificent Upper East Side I found a Hungarian bakery with delicious pastries, then sat in Central Park next to Cleopatra's Needle with my lunch, then went dancing on my rollerblades in the Skaters Circle, and now sitting in Grand Army Plaza watching the whole world walk by. Days like today remind me why I love New York and won't live anywhere else.
