Thread: The Laureate - 2150 Broadway

Hasn't been mentioned yet but both of these buildings are now gone. Just a big hole in the ground. Well, not a hole. More like a small pile of rubble.

It looks like whomever this is, they got their financing in place before the even bigger pile of rubble came down around us all.

Haven't seen any plans filed or anything else. The South Harrison tower also looks like it got the revolving door for the lobby today. It's directly across the large pile of rubble.

Permit. Same form as all the other new Broaway buildings. Hopefully SLCE is not really designing it.

How is this buliding coming? Anybody know whether condo or rental? And if condo when sales start?

I checked the Condo Blog: no listing for this building. If it is a condo this site is a good place to find news, commentary and links.

Other than that; no news yet. There are still too many new buildings going up in NYC to keep abreast of them all, I do not know of any other way to track them other than wait for the project to "Pop-Up" here at wiredny.

If you come across any relevant photos, links, or news going forward your input would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

This will be condo. Apartment layouts are wrong for rental.

Still doing excavation. I wouldn't expect a foundation pour for a bit yet.

There's a rendering on SCLE's website under the current projects section.

How were you able to post that? When I right-clicked on the photo, it did not say "properties".

    Nice rendering: thanks for posting.

I would say this is a class A project in both design & construction; being that this is the same firm that did 15 CPW - one wouldn't expect less.

Did a screen grab, cropped in Paint, and loaded from my desktop.

Grab, crop & load: nice. I crop in photoshop, the resizing of the image is what takes a bit longer to get the in-thread "attached thumbnail" uploaded image - well worth the result.

    Thanks for posting.
