Default San Francisco vs. Traditional America

    Please watch this segment of Bill O'Reilly about San Francisco. It's H I L A R I O U S:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zpmz2sKzg6g

Certainly SF has it's problems, but it's interesting how they leave out the fact that SF is in the top 10 large cities with the lowest crime rates.

That's because it has already filled its "sin quotient" with the predominance of gay individuals.

You should know that Fab! It is a Christian Point System!

O'Reilly shows his ignorance of SF:

"I wouldn't go into The Presidio at night"
The Presidio is a former military base recently transferred to the City which sits at the NW corner of SF, separated from the residential parts of the City and densely wooded. It's not Central Park -- and not exactly the place that too many folks ever would have gone to at night.

O'Reilly's "producer" says that SF, in contrast to NYC, is nastier:

"In NY you might see one or two homeless at a time. In SF they travel in packs ... At nightime, forget about it -- it's like AMSTERDAM, you have your neon signs ... In NY, ya know, you have your pockets of bad places, but in SF it's prevalant throughout the City ... Almost every neighborhood has this dark underbelly that seeps into regular society."
    He's making me homesick

    And: Amsterdam!?

    Let's go ...

SF is not as cold as NYC this time of year, so of course during the day you'll see more folks congregating in parks, lounging about and such.

In NYC when it's this cold folks have got to keep moving just to keep warm.

    Echo.

Anyway, yeah, you do see more homeless in SF, but like many here said, it is easier to live in an area where they talk about the "cold winter" where they had a week of cold so severe they actually had ice!

I wish SF was less expensive. I really liked it out there (Although, admittedly, I was in Palo Alto......)

Palo Alto is to SF as Princeton is to NYC.

I went to school in Palo.

It was not as if I never went to SF (or spent time in and around the area).

Please do not think I am directly associating one with the other.

BTW, you are saying that Princeton is bad? Or that the two have nothing to do with each other?

Or that anyone that goes to/lives in Princeton has never been to NYC or knows anything about it?

C'mahn guys! Cut me a BIT of slack here!!!!!

NH: Both Pr & PA are towns built around Universities and which are located about one hour from the major Metro areas (NYC / SF).

    That's all.
