I wish, trying to get tickets to those games are like gold dust but as Leeds are playing so rubbish and are probably going to get relegated into the division below then we won't even be able to play them!

But your right they are fantastic matches, I have been lucky enough to go to one of those matches and the atmosphere is incredible.

Three friends of mine and I were all coincidentally "sick" yesterday, and decided we might as well go to the Yankee Game. Yankees won 5-2 sweeping the O's for the second time. Miraculously, we all felt great by the end of the game.

Default Blue Jays hat @ yankees stadium

What are some tips on wearing visiting teams hats at Yankee Satadium?

Will this ruin my experiance of being there?

No, lots of people wear visiting team's hats. You might get heckled a little, but it's all in good fun - I'm sure it wouldn't ruin the experience. However, if it's a Boston hat the heckling would likely be more than just a little, and rightfully so.

Unless it's a Boston hat you won't get abused too bad. If you were to wear a Boston hat to Yankee Stadium I don't suggest sitting in the bleachers with that on. Also Yankee Stadium doesn't usually sellout until almost gametime unless it's a series againest the Mets or Red Sox. But lately we've had crowds of over 50,000 and a few over 55,000 so you never know.

    Thanks guys.

This will be my first time in NYC.
It was probably a stupid question, but i thought I should ask.

Sorry if this has already been asked but do you know where you'll be staying?

Ok reason I asked was because getting to the stadium via the subway is almost always the best way to go.

You should be able to walk to Grand Central from their and take the #4 to the stadium.

We are going to catch the US Open as well.
What would be the best way to get there?

Take the #7 subway (Flushing bound) from either Times Square or Grand Central to the Shea Stadium/Willets Point Station. Or take the "E" or "F" trains to Roosevelt Avenue and transfer upstairs to the #7 train (Flushing bound) subway to the Shea Stadium/Willets Point Station. From the station it takes about 3-5 minutes to walk to there.
