I was told they use these where there is space for them to spin freely, thats why we are seeing them on the west side. You will not be able to use this at the Baccarat site for example.

150 Charles progressing, complete with overzealous 'photography security guards'... LOL right.

Did you get yelled at for taking photos? This is the only site where I will be yelled at without fail or reason by an idiot 'security guard' who thinks they have jurisdiction over the neighboring sidewalks.

Thankfully no yelling on this visit.

Big. Hefty. Maybe too much so.

But at least it somewhat obscures that silly Memphis thing a block to the east.

The overly-balconied PoMo tower in the background ...

I was having a pistol of a time trying to attach an upload of this building.

From our friends at Wikipedia -

The Memphis Group was an Italian design and architecture group founded in Milan by Ettore Sottsass in 1981 that designed Post Modern furniture, fabrics, ceramics, glass and metal objects from 1981-1987.
The Memphis group's work often incorporated plastic laminate and was characterized by ephemeral design featuring colourful decoration and asymmetrical shapes, sometimes arbitrarily alluding to exotic or earlier styles.

Sottsass left the movement in 1985 and it dismantled in 1988.
The group's colourful furniture has been described as "bizarre", "misunderstood", "loathed", and "a shotgun wedding between Bauhaus and Fisher-Price".

    ************************************************** ********************************************

    DON"T HATE!

This building has a high glamour quotient as it houses the New York residence of RuPaul.

That's right, stache. IT IS more fun that way - a shotgun wedding between Bauhaus and Fisher-Price. LOL. Still better than the wedding of Karl Fischer-Price.
