Default NYC when United Nations is in session

Hey everyone, only 3 weeks till i take NYC by storm.

Just wondering how crazy the city turns when you have all these leaders meeting at the United Nations.

Do you notice the diference? Are there tons more police around? Do you see those foreign leaders around town with their security?

Is it a pain to go anywhere in the city?

Around here ( Seattle), when some president or someone comes to town they seem to think they need to shut down the whole freeway system.

There are definitely a lot more police around. Certain streets also get closed to traffic, with a more complete shutdown as you get closer to the UN. Nevertheless, it's not any more inconvenient than any other major public event, such as a parade.

Last year, my wife went into labor right at this time, and we had to go cross-town to get to the hospital. We manged it in only 20 minutes. Nevertheless, if any random countries suddenly declare war on the US, it's probably because our taxi ran over their representatives.
