I stopped him because of his dog and asked him about it and he was friendly enough. I believe it was a Border Collie (maybe mix), though now years later he apparently has another breed. For about 10 minutes we talked on the step of the restaurant Raoul's on Prince. He told me about how he got the dog when he was on a film shoot in some outlying place, a guy selling pups from the back of a pick up. He told me how he just fell in love with her. And then I remember him wanting to so me how crazy his dog was when we discussed their intensity. He said "Ball" and the dog just flipped a switch, and went into crazed search mode. He admitted it was an unfair to do, and he calmed her down right way. In any case, I got a glimpse of one of those Border Collie traits, and a wonderful NY memory as well. It sits deep within me.
