    Message for Mods: Can "Walker Tower" be added to the title, please?


    I really like what's been done but, of course, I haven't seen it face-to-face.

    OK exterior restoration work: but those spire and facade additions at the top are made of cheap looking, hollow sheet metal forms: looks like nice cast stone work at a great distance, or in photo/video - but looks cheep and flimsy in the flesh.

    I think most people can not discern these subtle differences in materials; so it goes unnoticed - but I have worked in the fields of construction and craft trades for years, so I SEE the difference. They went cheap on the methods and materials on the facade work : may they did better with the interiors.

    Agreed on the criticisms. They really botched Ralph Walker's crown. The brick parapet had much more character and detail than those tacked on panels and spires.

    The developer might have done a better job with the next Walker conversion:


    You can see the new crown on the lower right.
