Okay, unsurprisingly, I have a listing in this building, a 2-BR, 2-BA plus dining, for $899K. (Come with a wallet; building only allows 60% financing).

But it is a cool 1950s building, designed with a "sawtooth" by Boak & Raad. The result is that most of the major rooms have corner windows, so you end up with sort of a pre-warish floorplan but postwar light and air.

Architecture historian Christopher Gray writes a nice elegaic piece about having grown up in the twin building, Sutton Manor East, at 440 East 56th.
