Even the Random House building looks good.

Astounding to think that the NE corner of the BIG / Durst pyramid will be nearly as tall as the smoke stack across W 58th.

[I see that the Wikipedia page for this project is a MESS]

This is quickly becoming one of the best skyline views in the city.

Only a few years ago it was a little drab, with that lunky telephone building in front of the Midtown mesa.

Yep. It will be something else once the other 57th St supertalls are built.

I don't think this will be as tall as the smoke stack. The Helena is 400 feet at the roof according to Emporis. I think the smoke stack is closer to 500 feet.

This tower will be almost 500 ft., so it should be around the same height as the smokestack.

The info on the building said 450 feet. Whatevs, I like the building no matter how tall it is.

I think it's around 470 ft. per official DOB filings.

It looks like they are attaching the metal frame for the "exoskeleton" to attache the panel to the building. At the top of the metal parts being installed were two construction workers hanging precariously off the side, securing the metal parts. Bring on the Alucobond!!
