Well, that's pretty much all there is when you dig a big hole. The steel erectors have begun setting steel in Phase 1, including one super column that reaches almost to street level. The demising wall continues to come down and the site should become one in about 6-8 weeks.

As you say, the 888 can't do it all. There are some 100T girders to be placed and the 16000 is scheduled to arrive in September.
On a side note, I know the Millennium Hilton sued for the noise issues over on Church St but I hear also that the World Center Hotel has also sued the Port for the VSC noise.
You know we tried using quiet explosives and rubber hoe rams but we found the production rate dropped off a bit!

World Center Hotel sucks! Oh let's us buy a hotel right next door to NYC largest constuction site and now we are going to sue. The owners should get a kick in ass, I hate this hotel.

The picture on the left shows how we are breaking away at the large, lowest basement slab of the old DB building. It's 6' thick and the top of it is over 30' below Greenwich St.
The picture on the right shows the first super column in place in Phase 1, just below 90 West.
