I should post it on the NYC Maps thread.

So basically only Silverstein's towers and the transportation hub sit on the original island shoreline. Imagine how that would look.

Makes one ponder what volume of noteworthy items were unearthed during the excavation for the original WTC, and the extent to which any were preserved.

This anchor, dating from the 1600s, was uncovered in 1967. It was stored and forgotten in a basement room at the WTC, and rediscovered after the 1993 bombing.

There was an exhibition at India House early this year:

Maybe this is top secret, but anyone have the inside info of this?

I'm curious how they are configuring the underground connections from the VSC entry south of Liberty Street to the parking areas below 2 WTC, 3 WTC, and 4 WTC on the north side of Liberty (and on the opposite side of Greenwich Street).

There is a wedge of space at the SE corner of the original WTC bathtub where the PATH lines curve to the north which would seem to be usable, but the original bathtub walls would seem to block that off from access to 4WTC on the east side of Greenwich.

And will there be vehicular access beneath the main Calatrava building between 2 WTC & 3 WTC? If not, how will vehicles access the subterranean areas of 2 WTC?

Is there any vehicular access planned at the north end of the site or do all vehicles have to enter via the VSC south of Liberty?

i remember them cutting a section of the bath tub wall out in the area where you colored in red in your first shot and framing out a sloping bend some time ago..while they were building the lower sub levels of tower 4..

in the north i believe there was talk of a restricted access Helix under the Performing arts center. but that is a waaaaays away and not sure if it is still on the table.

there will be bus and car parking all along the subterranean eastern bath tub .

Isn't the route the buses will take near the east end of the new east bathtub?
