Firefighter helicopters have done a great job !
There were very lucky and there is extensive damage to regret.
Right now it's under investigating the cause of the fire. The webcams on the main cranes were disabled by fire and water dropped from helicopters. This is the last video recorded at the top of the Vostok Tower (East Tower-Federation Tower Complex). It was created by AMJ Group only six hours before the fire was declared on the top of the Vostok Tower.
^^ Luckily it was only an anecdote...
The blame for the fire at Vostok Tower has clearly been responsability of AMJ Group workers.
They're trying to work very fast to recover 2 weeks lost in late February by Siberian cold wave...
This clip was shooted the last Friday morning (March 30, 2012) on the top of Voskok Tower and they try to explain their problems at the present construction stage...
Maybe Sergei Polonsky (CEO MIRAX Group) should consider changing to constructor company, because AMJ Group has alredy caused several problems in some of his most important development projects.

It's true all that you say. However, this fire was an accident without importance, result of a cluster of negative coincidences.
Do not give more importance to the event, what happens is that it has been magnified by the spectacle of the flames, the strong wind and happens during the night.
Will tower suffer some delay for this incident?
I read in the press that there was talk that the building might collapse?
The cause of fire was an advertizing poster that fell onto a searchlight. The only things burnt were concrete walls, framework and insulation. The anchors of the cranes to the upper platforms have problems, which suggests that the cranes are on the upper floors removed and replaced by new units.Originally Posted by Veermer
