This is a couple notches up from a Gene Kauffman hotel.

This pos is a wasted opportunity for such a prime location, but at least it doesn't have a concrete facade like 432 Park.

It's got the same curtain wall as 48 other buildings that went up in the past few years.

Gonna be bought up by folks who are never there, just looking to park some cash in NYC.

As ugly as all that glass is from the street, I have to tell you from the inside looking out it's pretty fabulous. I recently bought something with a big ribbon window and it's amazing to look out of compared to my old prewar rental, which has a good sized window but it only takes up about a third of the wall space. Both apartments are roughly the same elevation.

    From the back:

I actually walked by this Friday morning (without my camera), and I have to say, the glass is seriously top notch.

I disliked this initially, but was very wrong - it is turning out stupendous! Very much agree re: the glass.

I guess they'll paint most of the exposed concrete?

Renders show it getting classy, black paneling. Probably wont start until the building is topped out, though, so rigging only needs to be hung once.
