    & re: GK/R&W: GK did basic massing, R&W spruced it up, and turned it into a project that is actually attractive (besides the side-walls). It is definitely an excellent example of what a decent facade treatment can do for an otherwise boring boxy structure.

    Photos do not do this facade treatment justice: we see only the dull, boxy massing in the photos. The on site view - full frontal view - is quite attractive: lots of quality materials along with plenty of texture and detail on the facade.

    All Gk needs is a couple of good design consultants to help him with the 'aesthetics' - Gene is mostly a space planner, building envelope maximizer and contract document drafter, strictly 'architect of record' stuff.
