I forgot about the WEB CAM at the Orion: good recommendation. This person (who I think is ACTUALLY looking for a place) seems to want something that is more 'centrally' located so there are views of Midtown as well as Lower Manhattan all the way down to the financial district and views of the new WTC buildings; Tall Order. (LOL)

The Orion is too far west to fit the bill - and the 'bill' will be sizable to say the least.

    cheers

ahahah, infoshare, u got it..and thx for the explanations with easy clear words
Maybe they can give me a bed at the ToTR (south side) lol
P.S. someone told me: rent a suite at the mandarin oriental...i replyed: most of the mandarin oriental suites facing north, so central park...maybe some huge apartments at the top of the time warner center, facing south, have the visuals im looking for, but i think that we talk about 10+ millions $ or 60k $/month for rent..too much DD
For example i saw fantastic views from a 75 floor at the trump world tower with full size windows looking south/west but the apt is listed at 17 millions..LOL

They usually don't put studios up that high, especially in a modern building. You'll be looking in the neighborhood of 30K per month.

the problem with 57th is that it needs to be really really tall if you want those unobstructed downtown views, nearly impossible. UNLESS, you put a deposit down on a south facing high floor apartment in preconstruction at ...........One57 http://wirednewyork.com/forum/showth...t=5465&page=53

One57 won't be available for at least 2 more years. You sure seem loose in your time frame, money available and intent to find a place.

    But dreaming can be fun.

Waht a Rockefeller Center view without living in the Rockefeller Center? Try Cassa NY - just a few blocks south, with limited views to the east and west, a big building blocking views to the north, yet unobstructed sweeping vistas to the south:

Does it have to be south of the park? If you go a few blocks up Broadway on the west side of the park there are some excellently tall buildings with the exact views you are looking for...

Of course I can. I just wanted to check if you're willing to move a little further north. Buildings over there that I think would work:

    Grand Tier: http://www.glenwoodnyc.com/propertie...ts/grand-tier/
    One Lincoln Square: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/building/1...venue-new_york
The Park Millennium: http://streeteasy.com/nyc/building/the-park-millennium (Slideshow from AD -http://www.architecturaldigest.com/h...inable_article)

The are more, like the Aire - http://aireny.com/, that might work, but are not right on Broadway.

Anyway, let me know what you think.
