So it's literally just for the doors to West St? Alrighty then.

found this on the brookfield website:

"This fall, commuters will be able to access Brookfield Place directly from the World Trade Center PATH terminal with the opening of the Brookfield Place Underpass, a new pedestrian walkway under West Street which connects through a sun-splashed glass pavilion. At that time the Vesey Street pedestrian bridge over West Street is scheduled to be decommissioned and the at-grade pedestrian crossing will be re-established. "

Well, if it does open soon, that will be an interesting trek to check out.

Wait...I'm not seeing any real exit plan for the underpass on the WTC side. The only other real exit is the Transit Hub, and that's not complete yet.

I'm imagining they could connect the end of the West St passage to the temporary station just as easily as to the passageway that needs to exist in the location of the temporary station.

^^ If you ever walk though the lower mezzanine of the path there is a door sometimes open where you can see the long connecting passageway can feed pretty directly into the temporary terminal.

I think a pedestrian walkway to NJ is a great idea!

Couldn't find the jaw-dropping emoticon. Are there any pictures of the exit?
