    Default 14 Platt Street

How can I find out what building was standing at 14 Platt Street in 1858? What well known landmarks would have nearest at before the Civil War, including places people might meet and socialize, etc.?

What's standing there now? Same building?

To get you started, an antique map resource. An 1885 street atlas by E. Robinson. You can zoom in, but to get finer detail, you have to buy a print.

The buildings are gone. There's a 2 Gold St plaza there now.
