Default WTC Tribute in Light - Finished?

It's getting close to the 11th again, and I haven't heard anything about whether the Municipal Arts Society is going to put the lights on again this year. Anybody know whether they're going to continue doing this? I took a few pictures last year, but was hoping to get a few better pics this year. Any news on this?

Last I heard, it is scheduled at least until 2014.

Thanks Zippy. I remember reading last year that they were considering ending it due to lack of funding, and that was the last I heard about it. I still think the lights should have been incorporated into the reflecting pools in the footprints of the towers. I'm sure someone could have found a way to make that work, maybe instead of having the pools completely fill the footprints, they could have built walls within the footprints to contain the pools and had a space in the middle of each pool for the lights. I think that would have been a nice touch, having the lights shine from where the Trade Center stood, coming up right between the new towers every night.

Anyway, I'll have to get downtown with a tripod Tuesday night in that case. I can never have enough pictures of those things.

You know they've been on the last 2 nights, right?

No, actually, I didn't know that. I don't have the greatest view of lower Manhattan from South Brooklyn (Coney Island area) - I'll get down to Brooklyn Bridge Park tonight, and probably across to the other side to get some shots.
