He's allowed to describe his personal experiences although of course there are differences between a resident's and a visitorís view.

People do that all the time. You don't think people in the South still curse out NY and "Those damn yankees"?. I'm sure that any communtiy out west, down south or even on Long Island is going to have plenty of bad apples. Maybe more-so than Wash Hts. I was just verbally assautled walking down my suburban street while I was taking a walk. I didn't know the guys, but they were being assholes nonetheless.

Don't get me wrong, I feel totally safe in any NYC hood. However, I also know who to aviod and who's okay. When two teenagers start coming towards you and have that "shady" look, you know it's a wise idea to move. That's what went down at 168st. Maybe living there would be a totally different experience, and that won't stop me from going uptown again, but don't whitewash the whole situation.

How can you solve a problem if you deny there is a problem?...

    Keep the pics comin' guys.
    Loving it!!!
Advice: next time if it's possible, try to get a more distant shot so we can see the entire site or as much of it as possible. Thanks.

    Question

Several posts ago, I asked if anyone would guesstimate the topping out date. There was only one answer....2006. Given the speed over the past few weeks, would anyone like to be a little more specific than "2006"?

    Smile Midtown

Let Midtown expand westward and don't allow height restrictions!

I believe BOA to be only about a couple of months behind. This time next year the difference won't be as noticeable.

I happened to peer into the BOA site about a week ago. Still just a big gaping hole. Actually, two big gaping holes, with a huge mount of earth in the middle. They've got a lot of rubble to move out of there.
