In a couple of the shots from Roosevelt Island, the massing reminds me of the Woolworth building (minus the peaked roof of course)

    Looks specutacular.

    I can definitely see it.

    The cladding is practically finished.

Is that a rollercoaster going in and out of that one building in the foreground?

I think that's a canopy for a riverfront park. I thought the same thing as you when I first saw it.

It's the 60th St Pavillion, built on the roof of a abandoned Dept of Sanitation building. The roller coaster sculpture is called East River Roundabout.

    A unique public space.

A roller coaster on Roosevelt Island would be pretty incredible!

Good thing Bloomberg doesn't have a logo because this building is a prime candidate for one.

And the building's gridiron fascade looses symmetry near the top, but overrall a tremendous addition to the city skyline.

It looks so modern, almost too modern, for the rest of the neighborhood. A sky-blue prism in the middle of a drab, brownish-grayish part of the city. It's be nice to see some buildings of the same caliber join it in the near future.

Question: Is the official name "Bloomberg Tower" or "Beacon Court Tower"?

I believe the Beacon Court is the curved courtyard that will be the entrance for the condo portion of the project. One Beacon Court may be just the name of the condos.
