I'll take that wager and raise it. IMHO this building is among the top 5 post 2000 NYC skrapers.

How tall is this? I thought it was around 800 feet.

I believe Bloomberg Tower is 806 feet tall, 2 feet shorter than the MetLife Building on Park Avenue.

Originally it was supposed to be in the 850-870 foot range but it didn't happen.

the immediate area is still a bit shoddy
    LL, you're a pistol
    The area is hardly "shoddy"!

The Bloomberg Tower has provided a great high point in the Lexington canyon when you're looking uptown, especially at night with the top illuminated. The toothpick on top is an unfortunate thing, though.

Would've loved this photo without the HDR.

The two Extell towers will look fantastic from this angle.

Damon's Former One Beacon Court Pad Now $8.9 Million

    January 25, 2010, by Sara

We don't like to miss a chance to peek inside One Beacon Court, especially when sometime Yankees are involved. Or vaguely involved. The above apartment, which Johnny Damon sold off for $8 million in 2007 (after buying it for $5.555 million), is back on the market (now with trendy zebra-patterned rug!). The 2,100-square-foot, 3BR, 3.5BA apartment is asking $8.9 million this time around.

Well if the focus had been set to infinity the HDR would have meant something more instead of Johnson's sheet metal copings in the foreground.

250 E 57th will do a nice job filling the gap between TWT and Bloomberg.

I'm still very torn on this building. I don't think I like it, but it sometimes has its charms.
