Where did you learn Portuguese?
Eu estava em Rio e em Sao Paolo o ano passado para o Carnival. Eu permaneci 3 semanas e aprendi um pouco portuguese porque falo o espanhol e é muito similar. Eu amo Brasil.
Boa vinda ao forum.
I took this picture last week. I love this building.

Midtown: Those are beautiful photos... I love seeing NYC filtered through the right cuts and angles so it´s pre-WWII beauty is focused. Ah ...brick and limestone!
Count me in as a fan of limestone...the quintessential building exterior for NYC. (Try to imagine Rockefeller Center clad in anything else.)
According to Delirious New York, the debate over what to clad Rock Center in was pretty fierce. At one point, Raymond Hood (half-jokingly) suggested that they use corrugated metal.Originally Posted by Bob

Cut to now: Renzo Piano suggests the Times building exterior look like corrugated metal. Everyone praises it, thinks it's a kickass idea!
O tempora, o mores.

Welcome to the forum."
How was that? BTW, I don't speak Portuguese but thought I'd have some fun with my high school-level Spanish.
Nah, I have to say that would be red brick. I think this city overdoes it with the bricks, to the point of ad nauseam.Originally Posted by Bob
