I don't like the poor door. I think everyone should pay the same $ and use the same door.

There really is no such thing as a poor door. When condo-rental hybrid buildings are built, the condo and rental sections almost always have separate entrances, because they have different amenities and the like.

But it has nothing to do with "poor" or even subsidized tenants. It's about rental vs. condo. And obviously many renters have more money than buyers.

Really? I'd always thought of the buyers as the more ambitious type.

It's really more about being able to save for a downpayment more than the monthly costs. Some people will be frugal in the beginning to buy something nice later, others will pay way too much in rent to ever save a downpayment, and some people will just make so much money they can rent for a fortune and buy anyway. Always tough to tell. I don't think any of the units here are HDFC, though, which suggests that the affordable units will only be rentals.

Looks like they have connected Riverside Drive South with West 61st st.

This one is of the site along West End over the train tracks:

And like that, another chance for an inexpensive MNR station down the tubes.

It's New York, inexpensive and logical is foreign to us.

We'll use jet packs to get around in the future.

But what about the poor door? Even if "those people" could afford jetpacks (which they can't), they'd never fit IN the tiny little poor door (made extra small for cost saving purposes).

Riverside South has nothing to do with the Metro North siting for a new station. They're supposedly leaning towards something up by Columbia/W 125 for the new Bronx line extension, but, in any case, it isn't related to Riverside South.

If they wanted to build a station around Riverside South, they could do so.

You mean like these Penn Station Access Maps? http://web.mta.info/mta/planning/psa...ap_11_2011.pdf.

Or the article about it here: http://secondavenuesagas.com/2009/03...th-st-station/

Or the fact that it seems like everyone built the new tunnel too narrow for stations: http://secondavenuesagas.com/2010/03...est-side-stop/

I mean, it does, and the development at Riverside blew it.

Could the subway train extension going towards Hudson yards have a branch that goes north and maybe terminates at W72 at the 1/2/3 stop?
