Good work. They're all more or less palatable. Yes I'm a snob.
Atlantic Terminal - four high ceilinged floors mostly completed. My father and I watched a steel beam being lifted, as did what appeared to be a pimp next to us

9 Metrotech Center South - from the front, a nightmare that almost made me soil my backside. From the back, alright

12 Metrotech *Center - looking good. I like the windows although it's weird how they get bigger halfway up the building

Federal Courthouse Eastern District - again I got it on a gloomy day. It's nice, nothing special but looks good from far away

Light Bridges - the lot is still empty. There's a kitty in there though

9 and 12 Metrotech look pretty tall for Brooklyn. *I think I can see 12 from the Queensboro Bridge.
12 is the second tallest in the borough, tallest Downtown
Republic National Bank in Fort Greene is the tallest, right?Quote: from Gulcrapek on 10:00 pm on Jan. 4, 2003

Excellen shots. *Post any other Brooklyn photoss...
Nice pics, I like the last two shots. *The courthouse shot kind of has a "cozy" feeling about it.
Great pics. *I have to disagree with you re: 9 Metrotech South. *I think the building turned out alot nicer than anticipated and has some nice details. *Much better than I expected.
9 metrotech is ok. though as the backside shows it would have looked cooler if it had an all glass facade. why do all brooklyn buildings have to be made of brick????12 metrotech is ok though i dont know why they chose green glass. the federal courthouse is definately the best looking of the new buildings
The courthouse is a nice modern addition, nice lightness for a federal building. A breath of fresh air in Brooklyn it is not. Brooklyn needs creative architecture, a Cesar Pelli clone should not be the borough's best work of recent architecture.
Eli, do you know when this building was completed?

I've never heard of that
What direction is it from Downtown, north or south?
Looks like Brooklyn Heights, by the Promenade

No, Light Bridges is an enigma wrapped in chocolate
There won't be any major constructions in the area for a while. 2004 starts the Marriott and this year the Law School dorm should start rising but they're nothing that noticeable on the skyline
