June 28, 2004: Elevation floors 10, 11, and 12 looking Northwest
The Larkin Building was never built. It was proposed at the current site of the original Mc Graw Hill Building. The stunted building to the north of the original Met Life Building is originally enough the Met Life North Building. The Larkin building is the building to the north of it, it was never completed. I belive it also has the highest ratio of elevators to tenants/floors of any building in the city. There was an article on it years ago about how tenants rarely had to wait for an elevator because there were enough elevators and shafts built to accommodate the entire tower.
