Brilliant photo. That is an angle we have not seen.

Nice. Yes, very unique perspective.
Looks like this "green" building has every single light on.
That glass roof must be something to see during a rain or snow storm.
Does anybody know how to pronounce '' Hearst" in English?
Is that like "hear+st" or "her+st"?
Would be grateful for you guys answers. Thanks.
The magazine empire and publiushing family pronounce it "Her+st".
Thank you BrooklynRider. This building is really fantastic. I still remember the stunning sight when i first saw it last October.
Make sure you hit that "r" really hard.
A bit off topic, but check out the view from that terrace at 310 West 56th Street. A bargain at $989,000.

Yep - I thought the same thing when I saw that article this morning.
There is going to be a similar conversation re views of WoolyB from future Silverstein 99 Church. Looking down on top of the lit up crown from a penthouse is going to be S-I-C-K.
Hey guys, hope this is the right place for this.
I was showing our pictures to a friend and came to one of the Hearst building. I read the thread on it but it didnt answer this question.
How are the floors laid out inside? Are they all the size of the skinniest part of the frame with railings around the area, with it all being open up to the widest part?
I have a picture looking up from the side, and you can see the lights on the ceiling inside at the top of one of the floors where the building is the widest, but it looks like there are no floors in between, but it must be 3 or 4 stories from the narrow part to the widest part. Did i explain that ok?
Maybe the photo at the top of the page ^ answers your question?
The diagrid and proportions of Foster's Hearst really scream out for more. It looks so oddly truncated.
Is it structured so another few segments could some day rise on top of what's there now?
